Only drove the car about 2 KM and I got the overheating RED message on my center display. I looked at the temp guage and it had not moved up at all. I slowly went back home to check the engine coolant and it was full and not hot at all.
After reviewing a few threads it sounded like it was a sensor issue. There were a few helpful posts but not many pic so I thought I'd add some pic to help others in the future locate and change the sensor.
Hope this helps someone.
1) the sensor is located right behind the back of the engine. You have to move a few things to get to it and its a bit tight space but doable
2) I removed the hose connection and moved it to the side
3) pull off the hose plug from the sensor
4) remove the clip on sensor side- carefull don't drop it
5) remove the sensor and wires from bottom
6) replace sensor
7) reinstall everything in reverse order
8) pushing the plug back on the sensor was tricky but can be done. Make sure seal is tight so sensor does not leak

Nice write-up. Thanks for doing this. Threads like this one really help people out when they are in a pinch and also when you don't want to pay a dealer big $ to diagnose and replace something that would be otherwise rather easy.
Good looking out.
