I have a 99 A8 with 80K miles-guess I have to go ahead and bite the bullit for a new tranny. It's jerking back and forth in all the gears-use the tip helps but it's my wife's car and she is getting tired of it. Any sources for a good, inexpensive tranny? I have a mechanic who will drop it in for $1500 or so. I found one on eBay from Phoenix-any feedback on their A8 trannys?What should I watch out for-first time to replace one. Thanks.
