Thanks. Guys are talking some crazy prices for repair. New is twice cheaper.

Thank goodness it is made by Bosch and not WABCO, the maker of the electric compressor for the air suspension.

Default Did it on my C5 4.2 for about $200 IIRC, but...

at that price new OEM from Sunset, no brainer to get the dealer one.

That's what I think. Only confusing is that there is repair kit (4E0998375B) for $800 and it includes 6 bolts and a piece of rug with the module. Can't understand that price difference.

Default price

that is just the electronic unit, most cases you only need to replace that unit.
the complete unit comes with the hydraulics included, that's why is so much more expensive.

You must be right. It is not really clear in Etka.

Default Try e mailing/calling...

the parts manager there at Sunset if you want to run down further. Loree. Very helpful as I have chased down a variety of C5 parts recently where I wanted OEM; pricing usually as good or better for genuine Audi than other places I try historically.

Meanwhile, if too expensive, as I mentioned in a prior post, I went w/ the couple hundred $ (IIRC) rebuild of my control unit when I got the warning light and VAG COM confirm on my older C5 4.2. 100% fixed and functioning as of a couple of years ago now.
