AC Problem...Freon purging from pressure valve

I'm not sure what is causing this problem. When the car is idling WITHOUT AC ON.. the purge valve will open up dumping the freon charge. It seems to happen after it idles for 5-10min. The condenser line at the orifice tube is very hot to the touch which is odd since the AC compressor is off. I refilled it and the pressures appeared ok while the AC unit was running. I thought it was working ok, but then I was running the car without the AC on and the purge valve openened twice dumping nearly the whole charge. I have not got it refilled yet to test the pressures while the AC is off. Anyone have any thoughts.
Note: I checked the orfice tube and its clear.
Thanks

How you know the compressor is off?
there's no other reason for the system to get so hot than something increasing pressure.
the compressor has no clutch and sometimes they get stuck internally thus pumping without any voltage applied.
can you unplug it and retry?
if you can activate the radiator fan the problem with the purge valve will not be there as the fans cooling the system will lower pressure.

AC woes cont'd: pressure too low @low side, proper charge in system - points to bad expansion valve?
