Adaptive Headlight Defect After Replacing Bulb

Adaptive Headlight Defect After Replacing Bulb
Hey all,
I had a headlight go out on the driver side. Pulled the front left wheel off and replaced the bulbs. I now have a warning dashboard light saying "Adaptive Headlight Defect". The bulb works on both high & low beam.
I got these bulbs:
Are these bulbs not compatible? Or can anyone think of a likely explanation since the adaptive headlights worked before the bulb went out (as far as I know)?
I'm going to pull it back apart tomorrow and see if I can spot an issue.
Thanks

1. Read and heed all the advice in the first post in this thread: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a8-...-read-2877219/
2. Put the old bulbs back in and see if the problem is still there or disappears.

There are several black wires running around behind the back cover of the headlight, usually bound together by some cable ties. From my experience, the insulation can start falling off of these wires the more they are moves around. Possibly also caused by heat from the headlights. Hopefully this isn't the case for you as there isn't a lot of room to do wire repair given the size of the opening. You may also want to check that the back connector is seated properly in the module mounted on back of the headlight. I've worked on both left and right Adaptive light problem on my car with no luck fixing other than replacing the complete units with some used units I found for about 1/3 cost of new headlights.

Hey guys,
For whatever reason after installing the same bulb on the passenger side of the car, the error went away. I didn't even touch the driver side which initially caused the error. I'm guessing something just booted up funny in the car's electronics and fixed itself when I disconnected/connected back the battery.
