My 2003 Audi a8 had a faulty sensor front witch made The suspension to drop witch resaulted in broken airbag. I bought a new bag and changed only the bag with housing not the whole strut. But now the ride is no good. The suspension is very stiff. I wonder if it is the bag that has to worn in or is the solanoid valve in the strut broken. I have no fault codes an I have current to the valve connector and the ohm is the same on the strut on the other side so there should be no problem with cables. Any idea??

That part number is the entire front strut/shock. If you got the part from Audi, then I would holler warranty. What determines the stiffness of the shock is the amount of current passing through the wires at the top of the strut. Check the resistance of the old shock and the new one. If the reading are different, then the new shock is bad. The problem with that test is that a bad shock could read the same a good one. I would still holler warranty and get your supplier to send another.

The new bag is an aftermarket replacement part www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302147984287 (not from audi). The strut with the valve in it is still the same. And i did measure resistance in both shocks and it is the same. And i get 12v to the contacts on top of the strut. I don't know how to measure the amount of current but when I look with vcds it says 0.049A on both sides. Does the bag flex or is it just the air in it that is compressed?

That was my first thought but when I checked my old bag I saw that it was metal threads in the rubber so it shouldn't flex so much. Thats why I'm wondering if the hydraulic valve broke when the car dropped. How can I check the valve function?
