I have the '05 AB SWB in Akoya Silver. I bought the car off of the lot and really wrestled with the color decision. I thought I wanted their straight silver that you see all over the place. After driving my Akoya for 2 months, I gotta tell you I'm thrilled with my decision.
The car has a blueish/greyish tint to it and seems to change depending on the light.
Best of all - it's different.

We saw the Akoya on the lot and snatched it up immediately (8/13.) The color does change depending on the light. Here in texas we get a lot of blue sky and it picks up a blue tint kinda of like "blue steel" Though I have seen a slight purplish hue at times when it is overcast. One thing is for sure, you don't see that nice a looking car in that color and with that style - it really stands out from the bimmers and merc's. Wee had it dark tinted witht the black interior. It also looks very sharp at night in the city lights. Either way you won't go wrong. Btw Akoya is a type of exotic pearl that mikimoto markets.
congrats
