Glad you got it sorted out, and thanks for updating the thread. It's really nicer when you are searching and there's a solution posted, not just a question!
Also happy to hear the strut job was doable. Aren't those little ferrules on the end of the air lines fun? Or does the whole right-angle thing come out of the air spring?
Will you be posting some autopsy pics? Take that sucker apart! (or you might be able to sell it to Arnott for $50 IIRC)

Don't be too hard on yourself about the compressor, 100k seems to be the lifespan of them from data on here. It was probably dying anyway, now you don't have to worry about it.
