So your dealer installed it without any problems? When I call the dealers local to me I will ask about that option.

Absolutely no problem. Although when I ordered the whole package they accidentally sent me the serpentine belt for the D2 model (older A8) instead of the 2005 one which I needed. Good thing my serp belt was in excellent condition and didn't need to be replaced at the time. In the package it also comes with a bunch of seals that the dealer said they only replace if mine are leaking. They were in perfect condition as well and were not replaced. Besides that the dealer install went very smoothly.

I also can recommend the Blauparts kit. The water pump, which I worried may not be as good as OEM looks and feels like an OEM part (no I didn't taste it though). If you lived or were going near Manitowoc, Wisconsin, ( I know, with a zip code of or close to 23452 you don't) Blau also has a shop so you could have them do it if you're not into *fun* jobs such as this. My only concern was that the thermostat looked different. That said, since my thermostat failed, and it has for several others, I really don't want an OEM part that will fail at 120k miles (some reported theirs failing at under 60k miles) so I installed the Blau kit of parts. Tool rental at $40 was a deal as buying them from Zelenda was going to be $500.00

Thanks Brozee. I will let the dealer install the blauparts. I had the flu for the last 2 days so I havent called any dealers yet. I will wait till monday. I dont plan on doing it for another month unless the thermostat fail. Since I had the car I had the thermostat fail 3 times in 3 years so I will be using the blauparts thermostat.
Mister Bailey I read your thread about you replacing the timing belt yourself. Since I been on the forum I see that you will pretty much tackle all of your repairs. Kudos to you!

Just a bump to request any new input on the quality of care at CF Audi.
I've found the service at CF Honda to be the best I've ever had from a dealer, but am just deciding where to go for service for my A4 which I did not buy from Checkered Flag.
Anyone have thoughts or recommendations? I am still under warranty and Audi Care, so I don't want to move to a local shop just yet. But once I do, I'd welcome thoughts on that too.
Thanks!

I bought my S8 from there not too long ago and i was very surprised at how welcoming the staff was. I quickly told them they were wayyy better than the staff at Colonial Cadillac. I haven't had an opportunity yet to interact with the service department face to face (currently out to sea) but i have had conversations with service department and a few salesmen via email and they are very helpful.
