Default Any one with the fridge option?

I need a user's manual and , if possible, installation instructions. Would some one be willing to fax or email me a copy of them?

Default I have the fridge option ...

Typical in most 4 seat version W12's. Wouldn't have bought it new but it came w/ the car CPO. I've never tried to take it out, but know from them giving me the ski sack and frame when I picked up the car that you have to swap that out to get the cooler in. The install/removal instructions are in the Bentley service manual, Group 68. I don't see anything in the owners manual about it. Of course if you are retrofitting it, presumably you will need power to it. Ideally you really want to integrate it with the power management system for the car given it must be a power suck. But I would guess that information will be almost impossible to find--logically you would have to tie it into the harness and electronics at the right point and then change the configuration settings via VAG COM to say you have the fridge.

Assuming the wiring harnesses for D3 are full custom as they say, you then won't find a power take off point ready to go. Unless that is, you are putting it back into a car where it was installed originally. Something tells me you will end up powering it off the back electrical area by the battery. I would tend to cut it in to a switched circuit to avoid having a drained battery, and leave a connector in the hook up so you can remove it later. It definitely takes up a good chunk of the trunk in that somewhat awkward center rear area. It is a conversation piece with people in the rear, and kids certainly like it on trips if you can fit the luggage in the trunk still.

Is there anything in the owner's manual of any importance as to use of the fridge? An owner's manual is unobtainable.

No that I recall. Just put stuff in, turn the dial to on and call it good.

I also have it. There was almost nothing in the user manuals about it. I am going to pull the papers from the car later today and see if there is anything I can pass on..

I ordered the W12 interior on the 8 cyl. car - so I have it. I have to say that it takes up a TON of space in the trunk..

Give me a few hours - and I'll check to see if there is anything from the manual that I can add here...
