T-Mobile Dash that works fine in my S4 but when I try to pair it with my "new" '05 A8 - no response from the car.
Any thoughts on how to get it to pair?

Try starting the linking procedure with both the phone and the MMI in the "off" position.
Then turn both on and go through the procedure.
Once the devices have been on for a short poriod of time, they won't link.

This is not an official process but I have used these steps on several test drives to get my phone to work in other Audi vehicles.
1) Make sure you Audi A8 ignition is OFF
2) Start Engine button or engage ignition from the off position in the A8
3 Wait for the MMI system to boot up, Accept lawyer screen
4) Select Telephone button on MMI keypad; Select Setup button on MMI keypad; Select Telephone Settings; Select Remove BT Devices; Indicate YES
5) While still in Telephone Setup mode, Enable Shutdown delay
6) Exit from Setup mode
7) Turn off A8 ignition and make sure A8 is OFF
8) Turn on your GSM cell phone and make sure BT function is turned ON
9) Start Engine button or engage ignition from the off position in the A8
10) Wait for the MMI system to boot up, Accept lawyer screen
11) Add BT Device on your phone which should activate the scanning function (repeat if necessary to discover A8)
12) PIN should be 1234
13) phone should discover the Audi BT system
14) Edit BT Device Name to something more user friendly (e.g., Audi A8)
If you try the procedure above and it does not work, try another BT-enabled GSM mobile phone with your A8 to see if it has the same problem.
Still no luck then you should use VAG-COM to check your BT module for faults or take it to the dealer.

I will try entering 1234 tomorrow. BTW: I just bought the same exact car. That is one bad *** ride. How did you lower yours? I have the adaptive suspension and the lowest setting is the dynamic mode. Did you use suspension upgrades or did you do it through the VAG? Hot wheels, I will be looking for some 20's in the summer as well. TIA

My phone only has a "visible" feature not a "scan" for BT devices... wierd.
Alternatively, is there any way to make the Audi scan for the phone?
