Default Audi xm receiver for 2004 A8 (Part # 4E0-057-593-A)?

Hello All,

I want to get this part 4E0-057-593-A and bracket, but I want to make 100% sure this will work for the 2004 A8L. I'm seeing this part number (4E0-057-593-A)listed for 2005 and newer, not 2004. The part number listed for the 2004 model is 4E0-910-593-G and it's a bit more expensive. If someone has XM installed on their 2004 can you kindly check the part number and possibly take some pictures of the install. I would ask the dealer, but they do not give out part numbers.

This will also help any new members with the same question in the future.

Thank you,
SawyerA8

Default Correct, for an '04A8L it's (Part # 4E0-057-593-A) and the bracket is 4E0 051 517.

I'm looking for the PDF of install procedures and will e-mail them to you when I find. It's a piece of cake to install.

I seem to remember there's an MMI upgrade needed, maybe it's in the PDF procedures.

Default Found the PDF...YGM! FYI, I paid less than $100 for XM receiver.

Did install by my lonesome and I'm not a big time DIY auto type. The ethernet ring is tricky in that it's a bit tough to figure out how it opens.

Default MMI Update is needed?

Thanks for the PDF. I too want to get satellite radio installed and would do it if it were not for the MMI update. Is there any way around this - In looking over the install it is all about the MMI?

Default Audi xm receiver for 2004 A8

OK I bought this unit and went to install it and cannot for the life of me find the harness with wires. I looked everywhere I even took out the navigation DVD unit. Anyone have any idea where they hid this sucker?
