Default AUX in for radio?
Is there an auxiliary input on the radio in a 2004 A8L? I have a portable XM that is currently using the FM modulator, but seems to the capability to be directly connected. If not, is there an add -on for this? Would it be the AMI?

Yep. You need the AMI (Audi Music Interface) to connect. Once you have it, you have many options for connectors, including 3.5mm headphone, iPod, & bluetooth.
