I have owned more than 30 vehicles and this is the first one that I noticed that the brake lamps illuminate when you slow the car down with the cruise control lever. Pretty cool

The brakes come on when the cruise control is set and you go down a steep hill too. It is best to observe this at night when you can see the center brake light come on in the rear view mirror.

Yeah, it's just the first I have observed a car that the brake lights come on when the brakes aren't really applied, just decelerating by releasing the throttle.
Interesting.
Interesting.

I don't believe it. ![Stick Out Tongue](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
Can't wait to try!
Reminded me of a sensible new feature I saw on Top Gear: under hard braking the front turn signals flash rapidly (presumably to warn whatever you're braking to avoid hitting).
And the least sensible new feature: reverse lights which come on when the car's unlocked. Stupid. It will cause people to ignore reverse lights even more than they do now. Plus it's maddening to courteously wait, trying to let some gigantic "Escalate" etc. out of its parking spot and instead some Jabba the Hutt-looking wench with the 84-pack of toilet tissue sticking out her cart lumbers up and (remotely) opens its hatch (Wouldn't want to reach one of those ham-hock arms up and actually expend energy, would we?)!

My early build 2004 (really 2003) doesn't do it, (unless it has to be going steeply downhill). Do you have ACC? What year is your car? If it's not too much trouble, fill out your profile and location.

As far as cruise off and decelerating, I never saw the brake lights come on under those conditons.
