Call me Mr Thicky but can somebody explain the logic behind this please...??!
I noticed in my seat adjustment screen that I only have adjustment for the rear right seat...
And I see I only have control buttons for forward and back on the rear right door...
Was just wondering why they haven't included it for the other side...??
The thought process here is for chauffeur drivers, in which the client usually sits in the right rear seat. Moving the front passenger's seat allows to maximize legroom. In many countries (like China) this is common place and found many cars. In America is more of a "foreign concept".

Ah..........
Well, i can see how that be fitting in a A8L W12 maybe but a SWB S8...???!
Mind you, this is Qatar, them crazy Arabs don't surprise me in the slightest lol...

Thanks...!!
wouldnt do to have the driver moved around whilst driving now would it ? That was a Euro spec only option , and only in the long wheel base. In UK of course it was on the port side rear door.
It's needed even more on a SWB model in my opinion
But if you're buying a car for chauffeuring, you wouldn't choose a SWB would you...?? Surely you'd go for the W12 A8L or similar...??
as I say those, these Arabs never fail to surprise me...

Having cuctom software for every a8 variant would be a nightmare. If you don't like the menu item, just ignore it.
I like it because if a short legged person gets in and runs the seat completely forward and then I pick up a long legged person, I can set the passenger seat so my long legged friend can get in.

I didn't say I didn't like it...???
I just wondered what the logic was, being that it's a SWB S8 which I would assume would not be typically purchased for chauffeuring...!!!
