Convenience Entry Steering Wheel Question

Question:
On my 2004, the conveniece entry feature seemed to work pretty reliably. The wheel moved up when the car was shut off, and moved back into place when it was started.
On my 08, it seems to be intermittent. I think I may have figured it out and I think it is related to the advanced key. If I get out and lock the car (say in the parking garage at work), the wheel returns to its spot when I return. If I get out and don't lock the car (say in my garage), the wheel will not return to its spot when I restart the car unless I push the memory button on the door. I'm still testing, but I think this is accurate.
Anyone else notice this?

In my 05 it does not do what you stated. But I disabled that feature because I don't need the wheel to move as I am not obese or have large knees. Either way I have it disabled just to prevent the motor and or any problems occuring in the future.

i cant confirm what your saying but i have noticed in my 07 it sometimes doesnt adjust on entry. there is btw a little button on the left side of the SW that disables the feature, and it can be pressed accidentally. not even sure if button 'in or 'out' disables the SW move, and too lazy to test it.
i demand total luxury lol.
