Maybe its just me as I'm newer to Audi, but when I encounter an Audi on the road I have to study it pretty close to determine if its an A8 or A6. While I understand the designer's goal of a line-look; shouldn't the flagship model stand out as the more desirable, trend setting icon for the brand? Look at MB and BMW there is little to mistake the S-class or the 7-series from the rest of the line up.
Case in point was the Super Bowl commercial of the new A6 Turbo, looks a lot like the new A8 to me...

But there are times that I also have to take a 2nd look to be sure. However, I also see much similarity on quick glances between the MB S-series and the new E-class.

The A8 got it just right with the wedge like details, without being too bubbly upfront. I think this A8 design will be the last of the understated audi bauhaus look (sadly). Next D4 could be your answer to a flag ship theme that will truly stand out.
