The W12 is the faster one in the video, you can tell because it's LWB.
I chose the S8 because it's SWB, but would have been tempted by the W12 if it was available in the states as SWB, in that case I would have added the aluminum mirrors and deeper S8 front spoiler (2008 and up rectangular light version).
The D3 W12 has the advantage of not being FSI, so no intake carbon buildup issues.

S8 vs W12
New here!
My previous car was S8-02. Had it for 3 years in daily use, loved every day!
Unfortunately a friend of mine bought a D3, me and my wife was hooked after a short test drive.
The obvious choice was S8 V10 of course. I found a -07 with B&O and other niceties. Went to test drive but to my surprise I did not experience that huge performance difference comparing with my -02.
Found a W12, went to test drive. And got hooked by the very pleasant torque. And Comfort. And..
Now 1,5 years later, I still don't regret my choice.

Would love to test the S8 V10 just for a comparison. Something that I just don't understand is how the W12 can be so much cheaper compared to the S8 today(To buy, In Sweden). Just don't make any sense. I hope the car is treating you well without any hazzles! I have had mine since August(SWB 06', Cambridge Green) and just love the car.

The V10 does rev up quite nicely, but the general impression was more noice than action.
Initially i thought the W12 being somewhat unsporty having revs limited to some slightly above 6000 rpm. The previous S8-02 with 40-v AVP-Engine was wery Quick to 7000 rpm.
But, as has been stated in various threads, the torque available anytime makes swift movement unbelievable easy. My opinion.
My prejudicied might be slightly affected of having a Ford Escort MkII 1,1l -75 as first car. Staggering 48 hp with matching torque.
About hazzles, as it is, I'm in the middle of one concerning ABS. Will post a separate thread about that very annoying problem.

It looks like LWB to some, but when measured it's the SWB 4:3 ratio of front door bottom length to rear door bottom length;
