Hello Dave,
That is not what I am talking about, I know what the Euro parking lights are, as I myself had a thread on that issue a while back, what I am saying is that as seen in this video made by Louis the fog light blinks opposed of turn signal, and I have seen this before on other A8's, I don't know why, maybe Louis can tell us why his was this way.

That's the euro spec parking light feature, where you can have parking lights on, on one side only selected by the indicator stalk. It's not normally the fog lamp though as it draws too much power, rather the small 5W sidelight/parking bulb in the headlamp unit, and one of the tail lamps.

It's a simple circuit design... Here is how it works
task:
- fog lights work as designed with LED bulb - turn on by fog light switch.
- fog lights blink with blinker.
- problem: can't connect fog light bulb to 2 different positive terminals: blinker & fog light - because if fog light switch turns on at night, blinker will be constantly on.
Solution:
- use positive terminal of blinker as negative of fog light bulb - which is always low, only high when turns on = 12V.
- Fog light will turn on at night because the negative from blinker is low - but when the blinker is on = 12v - the negative of fog light led bulb = 12V ==> the voltage across LED bulb = 12V-12V = 0V=OFF, that's why it's off.
Therefore - if blinker is on and fog light switch also turned on - fog light bulbs are opposite to the blinker bulbs.
In the Video: The Fog Light LED bulbs positive are connected to both parking light and driving light positive since only one can happen at one time - either parking or driving and not both. The negative is still connected to the Positive of the Blinker bulb. Hope this makes sense.
Cheers,
Louis
