bri- Have you replaced these in the rear as well?

The fronts are working fine with the singles, but the rears get too hot and go on and off.
Noticed it while replacing the rear vanity mirror festoons today.
Burnt the hell outta my fingers replacing them.

Have replaced my rear domes with the 4 LED and they seem stable.
If the front does the same I'll swap them too. In most cases I don't think they are on long enough to get very hot.

Next project is replacing the rear footwell lamps on the bottom back of the front seats. Too damn hot today though!

Thanks. I read in Bentley that they could be LED so one less thing to mess with..

Going to pull one out of curiosity though and see if there is a part number on it.
If they aren't $150 each in typical Audi fashion they may be a better (safer ?) choice than aftermarket for the rest of them.

I actually left the rear ones as stock, as I'd rather the softer light in the back, I ended up changing the front domes for a flat 2 led, the same ones I used for the courtesy lights in the doors, as it gave a more even spread of light, creating a glow rather than the single, you could see the spot of light from the led.

Thanks! I did same in the front today.

Since changing them the other halogens are just too boring so am on a mission to get them all converted.

Default Another LED bulb option

I just replaced my door and trunk bulbs with these LEDs from http://hidlightsusa.com - 194/168 Hyper 4 5050 3 chip SMD LED Festoon, and they all work great. $10.99 for a pair.

I really like the design of those bulbs and how they throw light, thanks for the link.
