Can anyone tell me if it just pops out for replacement or is it a more complex procedure? I finally found a matching piece.

it just pops out. It is held in by spring clips. audi recommends a wedge trim tool to prevent damage, but I used a flat blade screwdriver wrapped in a cloth which worked fine. I had to take mine out because it was buzzing and audi's recommended fix is to stick a sticky felt pad behind it. It has worked very well.

... at door end there is a two plastic guides - you have a chance to broke them

end of the door and not the latch end of the door? I ask as I too have a buzzing too sometimes. Thanks

pry it our carefully from the bottom then remove it toward the front according to the Bentley manual.
