Default Driving style

I've been driving an A8 for about 3,500 miles (my first Audi) and have yet to settle into a set rhythm of driving. Maybe it's because I drive on different types of roads (highway and country) or maybe I feel different depending on the driving situation. One thing for sure, the car feels great no matter what I ask of it.

Which brings me to what the Audi service guy said to me about the car... he said "don't baby this machine, push it".

So what is your experience so far - do you always drive hard and use the tiptronic or sport gear? What do you think about the advice from the Service manager?

One other question if you don't mind. I set the ride height on dynamic and left it there, thinking I'll get better handling due to the lower center of gravity. What's your take on that?

on an a8 with sport package, isn't dynamic and automatic modes (bottom two modes) the same ride height ?

dynamic just is stiffer than automatic, right - but they are both the same height ?

Default Comfort/D in town, Dynamic/Tip/paddles on the open road.

Kept below half rpms when the engine is cold, full rev range enthusiastically used once it's warmed up.

No, automatic is higher and then lowers suspension to dynamic setting at 75MPH sustained speed after about 30 seconds. The little green lower car "visual" appears below speedo area ( which I understand this visual is not present in '05/'06 models ).

I'm with greenie, lower looks better, but on lumpy bumoy side roads I will drive in auto vs dynan.
