After reading positive reports in this forum re the Red pads, I was about to buy a set. Then I saw where several people on the Phaeton forum say that their rotors warped after about 10K. So now I am unsure what to do...has anyone had a similar experience with an A8 or does the Phaeton's 1000 extra lbs make for the wear and tear on the rotors?

I have a Custom Set of Rotors from Adam's Rotors and I am using the EBC Red Stuff Pads. I've only 2K Miles on the Set UP so far, but will be watching Carefully. Sorry that I can't provide some insite on this and I hope that I don't have to. Thanks for the heads up. Laters,

I had a huge thread on this, and was reccomended EBC pads by quite a few people. I love the stopping power of stock pads but hate the ridiculous amount of dust! I'm getting akebono ceramics in the rear, as my rear pads are at about 1mm

Hi, Can I ask when you bought these pads only EBC have totally redesigned the compounds of their pads,
I run a 400 bhp scooby and we have had a few debates over pads and we all found the old EBC stuff to be crap but the new blue compound seems awesome,
Might be worth trying the new stuff.

He's referring to the EBC reds, what do you mean by blue compound? I've heard the ebc yellows are rather crap; but heard only decent things about redstuff. When my front brakes are low I believe that is going to be my only lower dust alternative.
