Welcome. Not sure, but for starters use Ross Tech (also known as VCDS or VAGCOM) to go into the OTHER engine module and clear any codes there. It is an oddity of both the S8 and W12 that the car actually has two separate engine computers. You have to read and sometimes clear codes in both. If problem persists after that, report back.

Just checked both modules from the manual menu selection and found out that the Readiness button is greyed out on the second engine module, but present and active on the first one ? What does it means ?

Thanks

When you clear codes, it won't read "ready" for a couple of cold-hot-cold driving cycles, including some light highway miles along the way There are specific parameters, but that is the informal summary of what should work. Then either it will end up reading ready (there are 8 separate bits to what it is checking for readiness, though some are inactive test wise), or it will trigger an error and probably a check engine light. Thus, next step is to drive a few days and see what happens. Recheck after you are sure you have driven it a few times as outlined. Hopefully it then reads ready and no codes pop up in either engine module.
