Engine Light, MisFire, Oil in 1 Coil Pack Tube
2007 A8L 4.2 135K
Engine light came on last week, mis-fire on cylinder 8. Had been running slightly rough, but not bad, then engine MIL went out. Bought 8 new coil packs and plugs, switched out. Noticed oil in 2nd cylinder from front passenger side on coil and plug when pulled. Cleaned up, started. Wouldn't stay running. Extremely rough, pulled back out. Found company sent me plugs for W12 vs. 4.2.
Got new/correct plugs, put back together. Started. Extremely rough - way worse than with old coils and plugs. Heavy oil on same Nothing else changed. Not sure where to start after running scan, clearing codes, going for a short ride and rescanning to below. Lots going on - First thoughts were valve cover gasket for passenger side, lots of low-intermittent power errors so new Battery??? Before tackling wanted any thoughts from the Audi experts on where to start. Thanks in advance

Engine light came on last week, mis-fire on cylinder 8. Had been running slightly rough, but not bad, then engine MIL went out. Bought 8 new coil packs and plugs, switched out. Noticed oil in 2nd cylinder from front passenger side on coil and plug when pulled. Cleaned up, started. Wouldn't stay running. Extremely rough, pulled back out. Found company sent me plugs for W12 vs. 4.2.
Got new/correct plugs, put back together. Started. Extremely rough - way worse than with old coils and plugs. Heavy oil on same Nothing else changed. Not sure where to start after running scan, clearing codes, going for a short ride and rescanning to below. Lots going on - First thoughts were valve cover gasket for passenger side, lots of low-intermittent power errors so new Battery??? Before tackling wanted any thoughts from the Audi experts on where to start. Thanks in advance

1. Did you check the battery level on the MMI screen? Hit or miss if it shows an accurate reading but if it shows anything less than 100% I would replace. When was the last time you had a new battery? Module 61 shows no errors but I am no familiar enough with the module to know if the low battery would cause an error there
2. It isn't had to delete out all of the NO FAULT modules before posting so please do. Makes it a lot easier to see what is going on.
3. Did you check Ross Tech's wiki for any of the codes?

Clear the codes, rescan after a short drive and post the results from that up.
Although the bank 2 too lean code is what I'd be focusing on for now. Most likely a vacuum leak.
