Since Level Control is interconnected with other systems, EPS and headlight adjustment for example, I really doubt that it can be cleanly removed.

Hello Misha,

I took the question as can the "air compressor be removed", and I do not see why just the compressor could not be removed, I mean he has already unplugged all the struts, so the compressor just has temp sensor, +/- lead to compressor motor, and relief valve leads (2).

But as Misha states "Level Control is interconnected with other systems, EPS and headlight adjustment for example", SO the height sensors must remain.

It will throw codes if the compressor is removed. "Open or short" is most likely.
