get the security glass? alcantara? leather console?
Ok, I'm putting together my 2006 A8L order, and I'm trying to decide what to get.
For those of you that have or know about the security glass, does it add much weight to the car and does it impede cell phone signals? Upside seems to me to be somewhat quieter interior, less chance of break in, and reduced chance of getting shot on the freeway. Downside seems like potentially hauling around more weight, reduced cell signal, and more difficult emergeny access to occupants in the case of a wreck.
For those of you that have looked at the alcantara and the leather console option, what do you think? Do they make the car any more luxurious?

I've have both the Alcantara and the leather console. I think it makes the car look much nicer. I have received many compliments from passengers and others who have been passengers or have seen the car. I tried to get the security glass and door closers but somehow my order got messed up and those items were missing.

double pane glass a must. . . much quieter and no cell phone problems (however you might save some money if you told her cell phones wouldn't work). . automatic trunk closure a must. . .19" wheels a must. . .

Just ordered my 06 with alcantara but neither the glass (probably should have), nor the center console becuase it wasn't on the order guide.
I've had an 05 for awhile without any of these options and I considered them all. I think the alcantara is quite luxurious as well as the console.
Can't wait to show off my new headliner!

Oh they know me! Disguntled clients. My last one was sent to the chair by the judge.
I thought that he`d be 'rocking" for the rest of his life. How was I to know that it was a different type of chair!!!
