I picked up an IPhone cradle for my 2005 A8 (8P0 051 435 GP) and it installed in seconds. The problem is then when I hit the button on the steering wheel and utilize voice commands I still am connected to the Onstar System instead of being connected to the phone. I get the message "Insufficient Units Remaining" and it tries to connect me to Onstar.
Any ideas how to disable the Onstar and to get the voice commands to be sent to the phone, or do I need to physically remove the Onstar unit and replace it with another unit? Would the Blutooth Puck solve this issue, or would be talking to the Onstar unit? Do I need other updates? Thank you.

The car is not recognizing your phone.
Car defaults to onstar if it doesn't detect cell phone.
If car never had an additional phone installed you may need
to have MMI reprogramed to see it.

This will not work with an onstar equipt car, you need to replace the phone module under the drivers seat to one that supports proper Bluetooth.
The iPhone cradle only powers the phone and provides a connection the the external Antenna, the actual connection the the MMI / Steering wheel / Voice commands etc etc is via Bluetooth.
