Default Heated Steering Wheel Operation

Can someone please tell me how you operate the heated steering wheel on a 2005 A8L. Thanks.

Comes on automatically with the driver's seat heater.

Thanks. The owners manual was not very clear on this. I guess the steering wheel heater is not that effective.

Default It's quite effective. Your car may not be equipped.

Some manuals show the feature (particularly 2000 and early 2001 A8/S8's) when the car is not so equipped.

Default It is very subtle

I don't have my manual in front of me, but I think it only comes on when the outside temperature falls below 65 degrees. Even then, the heating is very subtle, not so much a noticable warmth, but more a feeling that your hands are no longer cold! I love the feature because my hands are always freezing (yes, even in California) and it keeps my little hands toasty warm =)

Default I'm pretty sure there's a button for it.

It's on the left hand side of the steering column.

Default um, pretty sure the only button on the steering column is for the steering wheel memory on/off.

Has nothing to do with heating the steering wheel.
