Default Help! Help! adaptive air suspension

i have an 2005 audi a8l with 75k miles. recently took a trip down to louisiana and my suspension light came on. Orange ligh and Green suspension light were flashing. my front tires is real low and the back look normal. i took it to one of the shop in my area and they said my front strut is leaking. cost around $1800 to replace. is anybody have any input on this. and how can i fix it without replacing the strut. also if i need to replace the strut i planning on to do it when i have the money but driving my car like this will eventually overheat my air pump. so my question is can i h turn off the air pump and just drive the car for while until i get the money. and if it is possible can anybody show me how to turn it off!. thank you in advance.

You can turn off your compressor but your nose will go all the way down and you can't drive it like that. Search for "slime". That may help you.

You need to start by reading the vag error codes...

1800 for an installed damper (Strut) is a fair price. The part is expensive. You can try the "green Slime" fix as posted in this forum earlier. Which as long as the leak is in the air bag and not the fitting on the side of the strut should work for awhile. If you need to drive the car for an extended period, the dealers can sell you spacer shims to be installed above the strt tower. The ride quality will be very poor though.

To shut off the compressor, the easiest way is to disconnect the large connector harness near the compressor. Remove bottom engine cover and look for the connector with a fat brown and red wire. Again, the ride quality will be awful.

I did an emergency drive of 300 miles with no spacer shims and it sucked but I had to get home.
