Default HELP how to un stick a button

Got in the car this afternoon and the MMI was freaking out! The lights for the menue buttons would go off then on really brightly then back to normal. I checked the buttons and of course the radio button was stuck. I tried to use my finger nail to pry it up but it didn't work. What should i use or how can i un stick the button. Thanks in advance!

Default Depends on the cause

If the button is stuck down due to a spilled liquid, cleaning with rubbing alcohol may work. I had a part beneath the button break causing my NAV button to get stuck, it required a replacement at the dealer. Did you notice a change in how th ebutton felt prior to today?

Default Once you get this fixed, try to use high press. air once in a while

to keep the area around the buttons clean of particulate.

I do that and I also use a "plastic" tooth pick I leave in the console storage.

Default The solution:

1. use a sewing needle for mechanical dislodging
2. use a leafblower for removal of "powdered" residue.
3. don't eat in the car; period
4. don't open windows if closer then 50 miles to a body of salt water (prevents grains of salt entering the car)
5. if above fails, use tinfoil and duct tape to cover the MMI swithes when not using them.
