Hood latch cable snap, how to route to footwell?

Quick update: got the $24 cable from Lithuania. Went easier than expected. Turn on wipers and disconnect battery when they are at the highest. This gives you the most room to replace the grommet. Then tape the interior end of the new cable to the hood end of the old cable (under the hood) and pull on old cable from inside. The latch is little tricky but nothing hard.

Grease your latches. Use appropriate grease and things should last a lot longer. I mistakenly used lithium grease spray and it evaporated after a few days = cable broke at junction box.
