in the hot weather, when the car (04) has been running and then is parked for a while, when I start the car again I get hot air out of the defrost vents that fogs the windsheild for abot 30 sec. And havind the hot air in my face is not what I want when I get into a hot car.
Anyone experience this before ? How to solve ?

Could it be that you guys are expecting too much from the air conditioner. Sitting in the sun on a hot day with hot engine for some time makes everything hot. Including air conditioner evaporator and ducts. However good it is it needs some time to cool all that.

After changing the N17 sensor mine doesn't do it any longer. The car has an incredible HVAC system which includes cooling, but for whatever reason, something is not set up correctly on the S8's and a bunch of the later cars.
Somebody who has this issue needs to change the N17 detector and let me know if they have the same results....but I had my car for two weeks before I fixed it. The guy before me had it for five years in Texas....and it was never fixed. He must of hated it.

It was 90F + in Chicago yesterday, and when starting my car when the engine was warm and the car sitting in the sun for 30 minutes, the AC started blowing cold within about 15-20 seconds. The AC in my car totally kicks *** now and previously it would blow hot air for 2 minutes and take excessively long to cool off the cabin.
