Default How do I get lightbulb warning beep to stop?

When I inadvertently ran a system check, the computer let me know a light was out on the front end. From what I can discern, one of the daytime running lights is not fully illuminated. No big deal and certainly not important enough to warrant the incessant beep every 10 seconds. Thanks.

It is very simple to fix.
You replace the bulb....

Getting into the headlight is super easy to replace those DRL's. If you have a 2004 you can even put an LED in there! But the normal bulb is like $2 or something. Just swap it out, why would you want to be driving with one out anyway?

thanks for the advice. I was looking for a way to turn off the buzzer until I was able to replace the bulb.

I have a 2006 but am presently nowhere near a place that sells Audi bulbs. There has got to be a way to stop the beeping every 10 seconds but maybe not as this car is new to me.

Hmm, I never drove around with the bulb out. I only received the message when trying to change the bulb with an LED. Didn't know it did that. I wish I could disable the bulb out function altogether.

I haven't been able to find a way to turn the warning off, and believe me I've looked - we have an A6 and are waiting for a bulb holder to arrive.

Most of the bulbs are pretty standard and can be had from any car parts place.

If the bulb is not fully illuminated it's either the bulb or the ignitor.
What DTC's does VAG-COM (VCDS) show ?

FYI—Most of the bulbs are super easy to replace in the headlight assembly. There is an access panel behind each unit, pop that off and you can reach most of the bulbs. The passenger side is only slightly tougher because you have to remove the intake, but even that is 10-15 minute job.

Ok. This is weird. The warning light indicates a light is out on the drivers side but I've checked and all lights appear to be working correctly. WTF?
