I recall this one from eBay....it has a salvage title though, which actually at the price makes it less than a good deal in my opinion.

So "Branded Title" means Salvaged Title? If it's salvaged, then it's not worth the money.

Yes, "branded" typically means salvaged, rebuilt, reconstructed, flood damage, or similar. There's some vehicles you could probably get away with a branded title and not have any issues, but with the complexity of the Audi's I'd run - not walk - away .

All depends on what the actual history is on the car. Best to run a carfax and find out. I bought a 99 A8, that was a lemon law buyback, which had occurred at 14k miles. When I bought the car it had 120k on it. I figured whatever problems it had must have been sorted out, otherwise someone would not have been driving it for so long. Often times you can pick up a car in great condition just because of the title. The car in question could have easily been stolen, and recovered, but was written off in the process.

don't count on carfax. in 2009 my wife rear ended my brand new Z06 with another car of ours. to this day carfax shows both cars as having a clean history......

But in this case since it is on the title, it has been reported. Accident repairs are voluntary reporting to carfax.

For $22.5k, a little scary to spend that kind of money for a "rebuilt" car. If it's been driven for a few years, then I would consider, but if "JUST FIXED", then taking chances with that kind of money is a little too much.

Are salvaged cars supposed to be 1/2 price?
