Default I've got the V710 telephone cradle.

I'm not sure it's worth it, but I've got it. Part Number=4F0-051-435-C. Cost=$270. The accompanying manual seems to indicate that the cradle works with Motorola V300, V400, V500, V525, E550, V550, V600, V620, and V710 telephones. My phonebook uploaded automatically when I had installed the cradle and slotted the phone. I had "5 bars" of signal strength during my 30-mile commute from Frederick, MD to Rockville, MD.

Probably more than anyone wanted to know.

Does the car always accept the phone right away now with the cradle? I don't have the cradle and I sometimes have to restart the car to get the car to accept the phone.

Default It's out.

I ordered mine from the Audi dealer in Frederick, MD and it took about 4-5 days to get it.

Default I've only had it for a day, but

previously if my telephone was on when I got into the car, I had to reset the phone (turn it off and then back on) to get the car and the phone to integrate. This morning when I got in and put the phone in the cradle, it accepted right away and I didn't have to go through a phone reset.

Rod, I called my dealer today to inquire about the cradle, same price; $270.00, did you install it yourself or did the service depart? The guy in parts was not sure if I could install or had to go into service. Thanks.

Default It takes about 10 seconds to do it yourself, but

Just be sure to remove the "antenna cover" (the little rubber disk on the upper left of the backside of the phone) from your phone before slotting it in the cradle. I didn't and it took a few minutes to remove the cover after I had forced it into the phone.

I ordered one today and my dealer told me he had to order one yesterday and there's none in the country, go figure! I guess everybody wants one since Mabod spoke so highly about it.
