Default Labor hours for timing belt chnage

I was told 35 hours billed for the entire job from alldata industry website. This sounds rediculously high? Any inputs?

That seems about right for a V10. The shop or all data must have the wrong engine.

All Data is wrong. There is no timing chain in the 2006 A8 4.2.

There is no timing belt on the 2007 and later A8.

*NOOB ALERT*

Does the timing chain in a 2008 S8 need changing? I thought I read somewhere that it doesn't.

If it does, what are the intervals please?

No need to change. It's a "lifetime" system. Although if it does develop any problems, prepare to weep.
