I want to know the cost for a new belly pan and would like to order it myself but I cannot find it on audiparts.com. Anyone have the correct part-number? The part is the cover black piece that covers the bottom front of the car underneath the bumper.

From what I could look up with the part numbers provided above the V8 one is going for $194.40 and looks like what you described and was read off as Radiator Support- Splash Shield- 4.2L. Part number is good from 04-07. Hope that helps.
OT, tashakes what dealership did you buy your vehicle from?

Haha, good eye, I did not, I purchased it from auction, moderate damage to the front left corner, but lots of $$ in parts, I finished the mechanical last week, and it is now at the body shop for final paint and fitting (that part I leave to the pro's). The pic above is the same exact car. I will post pictures of the whole experience when I get it hopefully by the end of this week.
Needless to say, I am VERY familiar with almost the whole front end of the car.

I've been working on the timing belt replacement procedure for a couple hours a day for the past week. Believe me when I say that not only am I familiar with the front end of the car, but I will never, ever buy a car with a timing belt again. Certainly not a car with a V8 engine as most 4 cylinder engines are overhead cam, no pushrods. What complete, utter BS. Worst thing is that I'm only doing it because the thermostat failed which requires timing belt removal. What a PPD (Pi$$ Poor Design) especially where the $20 thermostat is located.
Mine's an '04 and I see you have an '07 so no worries for you about a timing belt. I bought mine in December, '05 so I had no choice. I wanted the car then. Believe it or not, I had no idea it had a timing belt when I bought it. I never heard of a large engine having a belt until I read the dreaded maintenance list (after I bought the car).

I hear you. The FSI engine is what made up my mind when I was researching my purcahse. That is why I narrowed it from 07 up.
I understand the BS perfectly. To replace one of the AC hoses, I needed to remove the brake booster, and in order to do that, the brake pedal must be disconnected from the rod. Only a VAG special tool can do that. Fortunately, they are available online and not expensive (Snap-On tools have all the VAG tools), but it did put me behind 5 days..... the engineer that designed the routing of that hose should be shot!!!
Good luck with your project.

It could be worse. First step in replacing the starter on the W12 is "Remove engine and transmission assembly."
