Default Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 or Bridgestone Lm-60 Winter Tire

I have the Yoko Advan S4 in 19 inch on my 2006 A8L but they are not good in snow especially deep one. I want to get winter tires and I have ordered the Michelin Pilot Alpin on tirerack but have not heard anything on this forum about these tires. Let me know which are good.

IMHO, it is better to have a smaller wheel with snow/winter tires. This translates to a larger sidewall tire. For my 2004 A8L, I have the 19" turbine wheels for my summer tires and 17" el cheapo alloy wheels ($89 from Tire Ravck five years ago) for my winter Michelin X-Ice tires that perform great for me on snow & ice.

Yeah I wanted to downsize on the rim to size 18 and get 18 inch tires but for now I can swap out my Yoko S4 and store them in my house and put the winters on for few months. I have a good European auto dealer that swaps them out and store the tires if needed and do a good balancing job (plus road force if needed). The x-ice are great but not for highway driving to 80 plus on dry roads during the winter due to softer compounds which is why I leaned towards the Alpin PA3 or Bridgestone Lm-60. I know the older Lm-22 and LM-25 were good but have not heard anyone review the new LM-60 on their A8L or even Alpin PA3.
