Default MMI bluetooth

Trying to update my MMI so that I can get Bluetooth, what’s the best way to update it? Should I just update all in one shot, or should I update one at a time until I update it all the way? Am I able to update to the latest software? Or is there a certain one I have to stop at? I have a 2005 a8

I haven't updated mine but I have read numerous times that you have to update to certain update numbers first before the latest one. I'm sure if you read through the forum you will find what your looking for quite easily its been posted numerous times.

I'm sure someone will chime in and help you out.

Bluetooth is not simply a software update. You have to have the hardware too. Do you have a Bluetooth module installed?

If you currently have MMI software version 1070 or later, you can update direct to the latest version, 4610.

If you currently have a version earlier than 1070, then MUST update via version 3360, then on to 4610. This is a critical step and failure to do so will brick your MMI.

i thought you could update straight to 4610 if you had 1190 and if you had 1070 you had to go to 3360 then 4610

Don’t run the update until you’ve installed and coded the BT module.

Nope, that was in the days when the bug filled 4410 was the latest version.

How do you go about coding it? I have vcds and everything, and also could you link me to a good module?
