Hello all,
I took out the camera control module today to add a RCA jack for the video. Took out all the cables and disassembled the unit. Put it back, check the video FBAS input/output, the quality looks great except when I switch to reverse, the parking aid graphical is there but the MMI doesn't switch from TV AV1 to camera video.
Use VCDS to check, there were many faults, cleared and still didn't work, checked out the can gateway to see if RVC is still enable, it was. If you see anything from the codes, please let me know.

The camera cable center pin was missing . Mmi detects open = no camera = no switching . Made new connector and the camera came back on . Watch out for camera after market fakra connector - the center pin broke off .
I added rca connectors to be more reliable.

I couldn't sleep trying to figure this thing out - I kept reading the VCDS and this one gave me the clue - I actually went to the garage, turned on the lights and the soldering iron - Soldered - shrink tubed - tested - then I could sleep like a baby - 4AM.

I don't know what kind of damage I would get if I took the car to a dealer or an Audi shop to get this sorted out? Unimaginable!!!!

Funny thing is I was experiencing some frustrations with VCDS in controlling the ride height this weekend. Best thing I could have done was walk away and just like you at night walked back into the garage and just gave it another shot and pow!...all sorted!

You may find the solutions for your cuts were "new" razors - or plastic surgery? hmmm... :-) I do like the quietness of early morning although I'm NOT a morning person.
