Another possible solution: DIY steam cleaning.
1. Microwave a damp washcloth until steaming.
2. Place cloth over stuck button(s) for 30 seconds.
3. Remove cloth, wipe down buttons with a dry cloth. Let completely dry before driving.
This was how I fixed my stuck climate control buttons - I think it's safer than using alcohol.

I can't resist this one...
Instead of the mini-refrigerators in the pass thru hole we put in microwave-ovens to heat our MMI cleaning cloths.<ul><li><a href="http://www.livingincomfort.com/ro12miov800w.html">http://www.livingincomfort.com/ro12miov800w.html</a</li></ul>
