I've purchased the oem update disc from Audi parts USA as suggested. However after 6 attempts I'm still receiving an error 152 at the end of downloading disc 1, I've retried several times to no avail. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

We would need a lot more information than you have provided in order to help. What year, engine, and country is your car? What software version did you start with? What software version are you trying to install? Do you have any VCDS faults in the modules that are being updated?

Is it worth updating or just keep current version?

Not enough info. You are posting in to a thread that already has a lot of complexity. First figure out the version you have, then read up on it and differences. If yours were stock 2006 I could guess, but who nows on a ten year old car if it is totally stock from a little old lady, or hacked, or anything in between. Then ask questions from there. If yours were stock 2006 I could guess, but who knows on a ten year old car if it is totally stock from a little old church lady, or hacked and whack, or anything in between. Your fingers should do the first walking through the prior posts to get up to speed.

A few people have had this problem also.
Also a bit of talk about the Bluetooth module.

I was just curios, with no reasons or mods in mind. If it's worth updating? That's all!

I think so. If for no other reason than to get rid of the lawyer screen. Then there is the improved audio quality of the stereo, better bluetooth, bug fixes galore, etc etc. When you upgrade the MMI, you are also upgrading a variety of modules.

Default If it works, don't fix it.

Most of people just got their A8, joined the forums and start being savvy doing things without known benefits and break their cars in the process due to Operator Errors.
I bought my Q7 new, version 4140, everything works well, I have done updating 4610 successful on the A8 with burnt CDs, but I didn't update my Q7. All successful updates and fix stuff videos are on my signature. The reason I needed to update because of the AMI. Someone should make a video update MMI straight to 4610, I do want to see since I did the 3360 first.
Cheers,
Louis

The car is an 05 4.2 USA spec with the original 1070 software installed. Functions but needs update to install AMI etc. No faults on the MOST ring, everything works properly. Purchased the update disc from audiparts usa, disc reads correctly, the data on the 1st disc is downloaded but does not complete as error code 152 is listed. Thats where i get stuck.
