subit0,
we've tried CD1 and no dice.
2nd CD just told us about EPROM error.
when i did my 2004 A8 couple weeks earlier it was a walk in the park.
I don't have 3360 CDs, only 4610.

12/17/12 - I believe that would be the 1st day my car went into the custom shop to get window tint and subwoofer install. They had to take off the door panels on all 4 and the entire rear seat to do proper tint and sound install. They told me they had to disconnect some of the wiring as part of the intall and of course they reconnected everything. Although, not Audi specialists, they seemed very professional and the main guy is a master tech and works on bmws and mercades all the time so he told me it shouldnt be much different. And I am very happy with their work. They are also doing a LED swap this weekend for some of the lights in/out plus some bulbs are dead.

They noticed a few things, on top of what I already noticed. (this is all from prior to me owning in early DEC.)

- Window lock is stuck in a position so only I the driver has control of windows.

- both rear vanity mirrors latchs are broken and one sides lights are burned out, had the shop permently put them up.

- Passanger side mirror is non-responsive to mechnical adjustments

- Sunroof motor is very loud but works just fine

- MPG is bad, 14-17

Check engine read:
3 Faults Found:
17983 - Right Engine Mount Solenoid Valve (N145)
P1575 - 001 - Short to Plus
16586 - Injector: Cylinder 2 (N31)
P0202 - 004 - Circuit Malfunction - Intermittent
16804 - Catalyst System; Bank 1
P0420 - 002 - Efficiency Below Threshold - MIL ON
Readiness: 0000 0000

- injector 2 is clugged, they cleaned it out. new spark plugs, new air filter

- should I be concerned with the right engine mount solenoid? How much does it cost (part + labor)

- Catalyst system; Bank1, what does this mean? est. repair cost?

Past few days I've noticed the engine make a whining sound and its pretty loud. What could be causing this and should I be concerned. FYI its Minnesota and very cold so could it just be that?

hi guys i dont know if the procedure to update is different here in the uk, i know about the version difference we have, but i thought id way in.

in the uk if you have a version less then SW1110 then it has to be updated to SW1110 then from there the update cds will work.

i have notcied that there is a mention of maximumsp SW verison being 0600 which is also in his pictures. which is below SW version 1110, could that be the problem?

mine was SW version 0700 so had to update to SW1110 first then commence with the update cd's, it would not let me unless i updated to SW1110.

Max,
whining could be anything from bad alternator, transmission,..

my recommendation is to call Seth at j&b eurotech here in new brighton, he will charge you
about $100 to go through everything but at least you will know
about all that is going on with your A8.

Default LET'S GET SOME ANSWERS, SO WE MAY HELP THE BEST WE CAN....

What we have as our latest for USA is 4610, which is said to be a "Repair" MMI 2 CD update kit, with said 4610 one can go directly to 4610, before 4610 was released, if one was at or below 2750, then one would need to do the 3360 before going to 4140, as 4140 is all that available at that time.

Since one would be going to 4.6.10, same would not need the 3.3.60 update, The 3.3.60 is only required when updating to 4.4.10.

Now can I get those answers, what version NAV disc do you have in the NAV slot in the trunk, what did you misread, also the three red "X" boxes are they the same as the three pictures you attached.

hanilanzi, what level did you vehicle update from, are you 100% sure you had the 4610 2 disc set, and did disc one run correctly ?

As disc one is not just for bluetooth, it is a clean up disc also, did disc one run OK in your 2004 without the non existent bluetooth present, tell us what disc one did in your 04.

ALSO are the 4610 (4.6.10) - Update CD set p/n 4F0 998 961 a true OEM DISC or are they a copy ?

How about clearing all those code and going for a ride, then scan again, you will most likely get rid of many.

For $20.00 you could just buy this

They worked in your CD changer. May be OP's CD is in a bad shape. Still working for music but not every bit.

By the way, I wouldn't accept copies. That guy is advertising originals. For only $5 more you can have originals.
