But yes toward D3LeighT's inference, do keep in mind the Phaeton is a steel body not aluminum, so there is a bunch more weight there. It is also 420HP as I recall rather than 450. Check if it is a six speed auto too; they did several things to try to put distance from the Audi W12. As a steel body it might be cheaper to insure (you would have to check), but it's clearly an orphan with hardly any support and very few sold in the US. For maintaining things like electronics, that support is probably important.

But it just does not have the look and sportiness of the A8. It is a much heavier car then the A8 (granted it has the W12), and doesn't stand out in a crowd at all. Lastly, I would think it would be very difficult to find any parts for that car since it was such a slow seller. Just not worth it at any price in my book.
