Default NEED HELP ON VAG-COM FAULT CODE

Hello i have a 2004 A8 4.2 D3 couple of months ago my MMI started acting up sometimes at startup the screen would not fold out and the tel.navi.car.... buttons would not light up. This used to happen only couple times a week but not it happens couple times a day and its annoying. So i decided to scan it with my vag com and this is what i got. I m a very noobist user when it comes to vag com so any help is appreciated thanks in advance.

Sounds like a loose wire (fiber optic) finally came out completely.

Ask local dealer. They should be at least willing to help identify the meaning of that code for free.

any idea where that wire could be located?

The optical databus goes from the k-box in the left of the trunk to behind the glovebox in the front, where it connects to the screen control module, can-gateway, cd-changer, ami-box if you have one, and a couple other modules connected to the mmi system. The modules are where you should start to look for a loose connector, another possibility is a broken optical cable.

Thanks a lot for the info i will pop out the cd changer and check everything in the back there.

Hey pacino13211, Did you finally found the issue? I'm having the same error message on my Allroad 2013.
