I was disappointed with Audi's decision to be proprietary here. Their OEM blades don't compare to a silicon blade like PIAA. Not only that, but for the money the OEMs cost, you could be enjoying silicon on many other vehicles.

not trying to sound like a wiseguy, but knowing that the blades on our cars (mine is an S5- same situation) are damn expensive, i use Rain-x as much as i can, thus minimizing the use of the blades, thereby extending its life tremendously.

I know this doesn't excatly answer your question, but something you might want to consider, if you haven't already, when you buy your next set of blades.
