I dunno if this is real or not, but it looks like a slight improvement. I do not like the busy interior, too many buttons with MMI control pulled forward towards the dash.

Not liking the back. The trunk door looks like the BMW. Agree with the busy MMI. I like the clean look myself and moving it forward makes it harder to reach with arm on the arm rest.

Not too sure I like the new MMI placement but I believe it. If you notice the new A4 has the MMI even further away in models without NAV, so I can believe Audi moving the controller higher. Also, there has always been complaints about the cup holders being too close to the MMI controller so this would fix that issue. I do like having more buttons as a quicker way to change frequently used settings. I'm sure it will look nicer in person as well.

...evolutionary step from the current D3 to an incorporation of the new A4/A5/A6 design elements.
While I'm 50/50 on the interior that's depicted, I like that the MMI controls are more in forward view of the driver with the buttons arrayed above the control ****.

The rear deck seems to be moving more towards the BMW and MB style: trunk lid puffed up at higher elevation than rear fenders---Perhaps not so bad. The tail light treatment definitely takes it's cue from the A4/A5 and newly updated A6.

However, I'm not thrilled about what's shown for the front side view, where the hood elevates over the front fenders---And the hood/fender seam cuts low. The small plot of fender sheet metal between the front door seam and the hood seam looks wierd to me---At first glance the look is too busy IMO. Will take some getting used to, I guess. The side greenhouse profile remains very familiar, which I like.

I suppose the Front end view kinda reminds me of a bimmer, with its ballooned hood design---but also takes its cue from the A6's hood/fender blend (although the A8 hood runs wider with its seam cutting the side of the fender rather than where the A6's seam intersects with the hood).

Although I'm not "wowed" by what I see in these pics, it's familiar-enough with the current D3 design (IMO). In the end, even with its BMW-styled twists, it looks like an overall design that I could get to like---that is IF these are what we ultimately get. Thanks for alerting us to these (spy???) shots.

Looks more like a Volvo back end to me. Not diggin' it too much at first blush- maybe it will grow on me(it would help if they bump the HP over 400!)

I hope this is it. I like it! I particularly like the front grille, which no longer has that plastic piece in the middle.
