Default New (to me) D3

Yesterday I graduated from the D2 board to the D3 board. Traded my 97 for a very late in the model year 05, first put into service 7/05. What a difference between the 97 and the 05.
So far we have found that the passenger side headrest goes up, but not down; and the AM radio has poor selectivity on most of the stations - another station leaks through in the background. Is this radio problem common and can it be fixed? The car still has remaining factory wanrranty plus CPO following.

There are TSB's on the radio as I recall, which the dealer could reference during a service visit

Sounds like a bad antenna. I've had that on my '01 Beetle but not my '04 A8.

I stepped up from my had since new 1987 5000CS Quattro Turbo to my '04 A8 (bought used December '05 with 56k miles. A *slight* difference in performance and appointments.

Welcome to the D3 gang.

Thank you. You made quite a step up. I had a 1986CSQT, graduated to a 92CSQ (still have), 97A8, and now the 05; all used (excuse me - previously owned). The 86 was a real trouble maker $$.

Thank you. I will look into it at the next dealer visit.
