What happened with @BigBlueA8 can happen with anyone, anytime ... well... my time came ... I have the same identical problem ... NO "Setup" function (tow and car jack) , disappeared completely "Car" suspension option, plus shows Radio is not installed.... well ..... pain for the wallet ... around $1000 to get second hand unit ( and no one knows what kind of condition it comes for $1000). All the rest of functions are good incl Setup Update loading. I have v5570. I want to talk to you forum friends ... you might come up with some solution. @a_very_naudi_guy mentioned VCDS. Please, explain how, it might work to bring everything back. If we can update, it must be an initial CD to wipe off and reinstall basic/original/factory software to start updating with. It means to roll back to the factory. Is it? ... ha-ha .. or I want too much? ... looks like the Audi enslaved us , all owners, to pay big $$$ to dealers ... and they are very, very bad on service... and some of them are simply stupid (know it from personal experience because they treat us as stupid's) . I have CD 5570 update. When I found that problem, reinstall of v5570 didn't fix the problem. Please participate. Thanks. Alex. NZ

MMI control of car components ...
As far as I am aware, the options that are shown on the MMI are based on the contents of Adaptation Channels 1 and 2 of the Control Head; each channel supports 16 number values but Channel 2 only uses 5 of the 16. If someone has changed the value to remove an option, it will no longer display in the menus.
You need VCDS to look and change the values; once you've looked, select the options installed on your car and add all the values together to get the new number you save in the channel.
For example, using VCDS to see the Adaptation Channel 1 values shows that Adaptive Cruise Control is +1, Adaptive Air Suspension is +64 and that Backup camera is +32768. If these are the only options you've got out of the 16, you add 1 + 64 + 32768 to give 32833 and save 32833 in Channel 1. Reset the MMI and it will now show you the Cruise, Suspension and Camera controls.
Just for [no help to anyone else] info; my value is 1612, so you can work out which options my car has

By the way, I believe you can also make these changes with the 'hidden green screen' but that's less intuitive and more risky. It's far simpler to use VCDS if you have it.

If you haven't, you need to read my previous post in this thread which probably explains your issue ...

FIXED!
This procedure worked for me. Important: You have to do the reset at the end or it won't restore complete function.
Thanks Johnny J.
use Vag-Com and do the following:
Connect VAG-COM
Select Control Module "07", Click on "Adaptation"
Select Adaptation Channel: 08
0-Hidden Menu Disabled
1-Hidden Menu Enabled
Enter value "1"
Click "Test", followed by "Save"
Close & reboot MMI by pressing "Tel" + "MMI Control ****" + "Upper Right Selection Button" (all together)
Press "Car+Setup" together until hidden menu appears, takes about 5 seconds
Then scroll down to Diag Settings and press enter
Then scroll down to Car Menus Maske (this is how it is spelt on the UK MMI) press enter
The find Battery Level and press enter
Scroll down the the bottom and press Accept Changes
Press the return button 3 tmes to return to the front screen
Close & reboot MMI by pressing "Tel" + "MMI Control ****" + "Upper Right Selection Button" (all together)
